Check all entry points. Back door, garage door (if you have a code or remote in your car), windows that might be unlocked. Do not force or break anything.
Call a professional locksmith. Call (772) 758-1322. We ask for your PSL address, the type of lock (deadbolt, knob, smart lock), and any special access concerns (gated community, etc).
Stay at the property. Wait near the front door so we can find you immediately upon arrival. If it is nighttime, wait near a porch light or street light.
Lock picking. Using specialized pick tools, we manipulate the pin tumblers inside the lock cylinder to the shear line, mimicking the action of the correct key. The lock opens normally with zero damage. This works on most standard pin tumbler locks (Schlage, Kwikset, Defiant).
Bypass tools. Some locks can be bypassed through the latch mechanism rather than the cylinder. This is especially common on privacy and passage function locksets.
Smart lock recovery. For digital keypad and smart locks (Schlage Encode, Yale Assure, August), we use manufacturer reset procedures or backup key methods. No drilling required.
Consider a smart lock with keypad backup - you'll never need a physical key again. Give a spare key to a trusted neighbor or family member. Use a combination lockbox mounted discreetly on the property. Never hide a key under the doormat, a potted plant, or a fake rock - burglars check these first.
